Virtual Connections

The Empower Peace Virtual Connections Program utilizes the communications technologies of videoconferencing, interactive web casting, and web streaming to connect youth through the Empower Peace web site. The web site is also used as a social networking tool and collaborative workspace for Empower Peace schools.

Empower Peace harnesses the power of new technologies so young people can communicate directly with each other in order to generate greater understanding and a more global worldview. The Virtual Connections program has connected more than 50,000 youth in over 30 countries in six continents.

Videoconferences

The international videoconference programs have been, and will remain, an important cornerstone of Empower Peace.

The videoconference programs allow students from around the world to engage in a dialogue sharing insight into their cultures, customs and life styles. Each videoconference program is 90 minutes in length and features at minimum two classrooms, one in the United States and one international classroom.

The program model that has proven to be the most successful and educational involves students from each country making presentations about their life styles and engaging in a question and answer period from their peers from abroad. Additionally, students conduct a cultural presentation featuring music or dance.

World Classroom Webcasts

The Empower Peace World Classroom utilizes state of the art, interactive, webcasting technology to engage participants in an exciting education experience.

Empower Peace’s traveling virtual classroom enables students from any country to make a presentation via the internet to an unlimited international audience regarding their country, culture and life styles. This is done through the utilization of Empower Peace’s V-Brick technology. This internet-based technology enables presenters to broadcast over the internet a real-time video feed that is synchronized with power point slides, photographs, and, if desired, pre-produced video segments.

What adds to the presentation is the ability of the presenters to respond to questions and statements e-mailed in by the viewing audience. This interactivity provides for an exciting and engaging experience.

EP-TV: Internationally Broadcast Programming

Every major Empower Peace event is captured on video and edited into a "Made for TV" program that is distributed to a wide variety of international broadcast and cable stations.

Our content is featured online on this website and on YouTube.

You can also see EP Programming on our international television media partners , which include: Geo TV (Pakistan), Future TV (Lebanon), Dunya News (Pakistan), and Alhurra TV (airing throughout the Middle East).

Empower Peace programming has been broadcast to a footprint of over 600 million people in over 100 countries through out global television broadcast partners.
